Hello everyone! This time I actually have an excuse for not updating: I got a new computer and was figuring it out! Now that the Randoms have been successfully transferred over, it's back to updates again! And if anything starts to look different (hopefully better!) at some point in the update, you'll know why. Also, pets, late night, seasons, and island paradise-y stuff (though I can't say how much that will be showing up in Lucky Palms of all places) now exist in the world. Everyone say "Woooo!"
Last time we saw the Randoms, there was lots of inappropriate love in the air, and even a little appropriate love too. The toddlers are now children, and all the kids are set to grow up needing massive therapy bills. Sauda continues to prolong her reign as heiress while we all wait for her to freaking get that final promotion, already!
Speaking of therapy bills, while Senga may have her imaginary friend, Singer, to keep her company, it's also kind of unhealthy how she's with him 24/7 and spends no time with other friends or family.
Poor Osamu looks jealous. His imaginary friend never aged up with him.
Barbara continues to be the good one, even taking over cooking. Though she could clean that counter first, it looks like there's something growing on there.
The glitchiness, the horror!
A typical father-daughter conversation, in that favorite hang out space, the bathroom. Donny is oblivious to the third presence in the room. Shocker, Singer can't even leave Senga alone for a second. He'd follow her in there even if she was actually using the toilet.
Donny continues to exemplify the typical retired elder male.
Yes, Donny! I forgive you for the flirting with another woman thing! As long as you can keep cleaning the house during your long days at home, I don't care what you get up to!
Sauda and Donny, up to the usual. Soon I won't even have to say that much every time they're kissing. It will just be taken for granted that every time I post a picture of them they're either all over each other or else flirting inappropriately with someone else.
Donny continues to endear himself to me!
The next day, the Randoms attempt to be a typical family and get outdoors (plus this is when Seasons hit Lucky Palms, so summer, yaaaay!).
Barbara isn't so good at playing catch. She looks more defeated than angry.
Donny: Yeah... sorry.
Meanwhile, Osamu is extremely depressed by his lack of hopscotch ability.
Vlad is perfectly happy relaxing in the hot tub. But he has to wear a shirt, of course.
Meanwhile, Sauda has been rolling skinny dipping wishes like crazy. Her children are very, very lucky that her wish panel was all filled up, or else they'd be subjected to that unimaginable sight!
The flirt fest continues, and once again Osamu retreats to playing with his poor untransformed imaginary friend.
As expected, Senga's playing with Singer, and looking like she's swinging a pillow at thin air. Is Sauda about to call her out on her insane behavior?
Sauda: That can't be any fun, Senga! Why don't you pull out ALL the feathers and have a party!
Of course not.
Apparently Sauda really does want to party. She turns on the music and starts dancing crazily.
Barbara: What did I do to deserve living in this house?
This is a sweet and nice family moment, until you look closer and realize that Donny is reading Osamu, "Totally Preggers: An Expecting Mother's Tale."
Why, I ask you, why???
Donny: On the third day of the pregnancy, I woke up and my stomach felt like a balloon that was about to burst. I knew that today would be the day. My husband knew it too, because he retreated to his basement hide out to play video games all day, the way sim men always seem to when their wife is about to have a baby. That way I'd have to drive myself to the hospital, in spite of being in labor, while hubby would meet me there right when I'm finished. Good thing I have the technophobe trait and sabotaged the TV last night in preparation for exactly this...
Osamu: OMG, what will happen next??
Sauda once again totally confounds me by showing up in this outfit to work out. When did she style her hair like that? Is that her outerwear?? If so, she has exceeded all bounds of insanity by wearing outerwear in the middle of the summer to work out outside!
Vlad interrupts Barbara while she's painting in order to try out the new IP interaction on her. It makes them both look like fools, but I appreciate it because it's not like these two siblings talk... well, ever.
But being a teen, naturally Barbara has to go pull a prank right afterwards.
This is why Donny and Sauda need their own room. No way they're getting any privacy with Vlad playing computer games right there while they sleep, and Barbara hanging around and turning on the radio.
Actually, who cares about privacy? We know Donny and Sauda don't. But they do care about sleep...
Sauda: RADIO!! NOOO!! OFF!!!
Donny: Shut up!! You're louder than the radio, Sauda!
Vlad: *obliviously continues playing games*
Barbara leaves right after turning on the radio (apparently that garbage really needed emptying at that early hour- yeah right!), but looks in to see their reactions.
Barbara, when did you become a master troll???
But after they've resigned themselves to being awake, we're all reminded once again about their lack of a need for privacy. Vlad, this is your cue to get out!
The rain has arrived in Lucky Palms. For fun, I decided to randomize all the umbrella designs, so we've got some real winning looks that the Randoms are sporting.
See what I mean?
Sauda doesn't need an umbrella. I guess insanity includes not caring if she gets soaking wet.
Some poor kid who came home with one of the Randoms is totally ignored by them (Osamu's probably playing with his doll and Senga's probably having a pillow fight with Singer), so good old Donny entertains him instead.
Told you! Apparently Singer has progressed to complaining to Senga about the dishes. Not that she cares, their relationship bar is maxed out because all they ever do is play together.
Sauda decides to try her hand at the local chess tournament circuit again, and in a complete shock comes face to face again with none other than Zahra, Taj's wife! Who could forget those days when I thought Taj would be the father of Sauda's children? In fact, if not for Zahra, he may have been! Taj has been dead for a while, and Zahra has been remarried since, so maybe Sauda has forgotten her...
Sauda: YOU. I remember you... get ready to lose!
Oh yes, with reinstalled Late Night comes celebrity stars. Everyone in the Random family is now a one star celebrity. They all got that star while building traits. Who knew painting alone in your room made you famous?
And now we get this guy hanging around the house and stalking them. But wow, he's very serious about his work to be standing there watching Sauda play chess in the middle of a massive rain storm. That's commitment right there.
Honestly, what freaks me out is him wearing the same shirt that Vlad wears to sleep. It's like he's sketchily watching Vlad in his sleep and imitating him!
Zahra: *concentrating intently*
Sauda: Oh, so easy, I'm gonna win in about a minute.
She's cocky, but not lying! Sauda wins the match and gains a chess rank.
After Zahra leaves in defeat, Sauda has a little gossip session with the paparazzi.
Senga: Eww! Vlad, why do we eat at this gross table for every meal?
Vlad: We're all too lazy to clean it up, and we're too poor to hire a maid. Just smile and chew and pretend you're in a happy place.
This update can finish on Vlad's uplifting words of wisdom.
Well, this chapter may not have been the most exciting, but next chapter is going to show chaos, intrigue, and excitement as the Randoms have rarely seen before. What will happen when everything changes completely? How will this already unconventional family deal with a shocking occurrence? Will I ever stop hyping up my wishacy as if it were a high-drama TV show? All of this remains to be seen!
As always, thanks for reading! Comments of any kind (either here or on the forums) are greatly appreciated! :)
