Hey guys! I'm happy that I was able to get this update out so quickly, hopefully I'll be able to keep being prompt. It's a bit in advance, but I'm far too excited for the upcoming heir/heiress vote, and I'd love to get there sometime soon!
Last time, we had quite a few birthdays, a lot of Barbara hate, and an unlikely friendship between her and Grimmy (I suppose if no one else likes you, at least Death can). Also, Sauda at last retired her ugly and revealing pink and black leather dominatrix-esque formal outfit, causing much happiness for all readers of this wishacy, no doubt.
Now, we return to the sight of Sauda actually being a mother and teaching her youngest daughter how to talk.
Sauda: Senga, say par-tee. Par-tee. Those are the things that we have to be careful not to have too many of, because it means somebody will die.
True advice right there.
Sauda: Because then we have ghosts all over and they take our beds and do our chores and it's not fun. We already have two ghosts and I don't like that first one, Sammi. I think she's in league with the fairies.
Senga: Boring, Mama!
Well, at least someone isn't afraid to tell Sauda what she thinks about her.
Senga likes her little Imaginary Friend doll better. Probably because unlike Sauda, it's not insane, and can't talk.
Sorry Vlad, buddy. Haven't got that EP. Looks like you'll have to play pretend about the aliens for quite a bit longer. On the bright side, Vlad, you're not in danger of getting probed or experiencing male-pregnancy. As fun as that would be for me to see, you probably wouldn't like it very much.
But the days of childhood pretending are coming to an end. It's time for Vlad to become a teen. Who's excited for teen hormones and moodiness to enter the Random house? ME! I mean, I can deal with crazy sims, I've put up with Sauda, how hard can teens be? How could they be any worse?
(I probably shouldn't ask these questions. My game has a way of answering them in ways I don't like.)
Vlad: Ta da!
Hello, teen-Vlad!
There we go, now you look like a cool sim. I bet all the girls at school will be dying to meet you ;)
Vlad: I hate everyone and everything.
Well, you won't be attracting many girls if you walk around with that grumpy face on. I also don't know what he has to be grumpy about, as he gained the genius trait this time around. Mama wanted him to become a genius, and I'm literally not allowed to deny her any of her wishes, so there you go.
Well, if he's not going to enjoy being around people he can at least take advantage of the new genius trait.
Meanwhile, Donny isn't letting his elder self get out of shape.
Look at that fierce face!
But Sauda interrupts him to complain about Barbara. Who evens knows what about, Barbara is pretty unassuming yet everyone inexplicably hates her. I would blame the unlucky trait but it even happened when she was a baby.
Donny: Hey, don't insult our daughter!
At least someone in this family likes Barbara.
The new member of the household is taking advantage of one of the few perks of living in the Random home: the hot tub. Not sure she'd be so eager if she knew what Donny and Sauda got up to in there though...
Vlad shows that he doesn't hate everyone, and is a good big brother to little Osamu.
Sauda, on the other hand, has no sense of boundaries, and will probably scar Osamu for life.
Barbara has decided on a lifetime wish: Master of the Arts. Makes sense. I shudder to think of how a wish relating to befriending other sims would go.
I guess Sauda is learning martial arts. Seems like a dangerous pastime for her. She shouldn't have the ability to attack random people. With the amount of times she suspects someone of being a fairy, no one in town will be safe.
Then again, she's also a police officer and hasn't abused her powers too heinously yet. As far as I know. Who knows what goes on in that rabbithole...
But she won't get too good at SimFu if she keeps stopping to choke herself.
Oh no, Sauda, don't get all attracted to Omri's simself!
I once again curse the new attraction system. It's the cause of sim relationship drama all over the place!
See, for further proof of why Sauda shouldn't get involved, here is Omri and Princess's son, Robin.
Well, I guess that last work out was just too much stress. Donny has officially retired from the police force. All the more time to get to know his family at home and work on his probably impossible skill-related LTW, I say! :)
Good job, Barbara. That's actually pretty impressive for a kid!
Donny engages in stereotypical retired elder male activities. Though usually golfing doesn't happen in the middle of the night. But hey, I guess he just couldn't wait to start his life after retirement.
Oh, look who's celebrating her birthday all alone. She seems okay with that though. I suppose it's better than having everyone laugh at her.
And look, Donny has come to support his daughter in her transition into being a teen.
Barbara has a strong face, but I think it suits her! :)
Barbara gains the loner trait, which is actually pretty fitting, as whenever she's around others they have this habit of laughing at her.
I thought maybe that little fight about Barbara would get them to stop being all lovey-dovey, but apparently not...
Vlad: My parents... yuck!
Such a typical teenager face right there.
All I can say is, eww! Thank you for cleaning up, Vlad. You're free to be as moody as you want if you just clean up around the place.
Barbara: So, now that I'm a teen you'll stop treating me so bad, right?
Sauda: Wait, who are you...? Oh, Barbara, you had a birthday? Haha, your hair looks funny!
Barbara: Well, that answers my question...
Sauda is back to work, this time apparently dressed up as a conductor. I kind of wish I could see her job-related adventures.
While the newly free Donny teaches his son about clowns. Gotta do something now that he's home all day.
Sauda is now the family breadwinner. That's a scary thought... she doesn't seem nearly stable enough to be the main money-maker in the family. But she's pretty high up there in the law enforcement career.
And Senga is neglected. Or at least feels neglected. I'm starting to wonder if she may develop the dramatic trait when she's a bit older, she does seem to want a lot of attention.
After school, the older set of twins does their homework. Though how they concentrate in that lovely, smelly environment, I couldn't tell you.
I'll leave you with this picture of Delilah walking with her younger brother, Dirk. Okay, So his original name wasn't Dirk... but how could I not change it?? Dirk Dreamer just needs to exist in this game :)
Well, nothing too insane happened this chapter, but there's always room for future insanity... with two teens in this house, anything could happen! Will elder Sauda and Donny continue to scar their children? Will Barbara have more social success in spite of her new loner trait? How will Osamu and Senga do?
Hope you enjoyed this update! See you next time!

Chapter 1.15: Barbara Makes a Friend
Hey everyone! It's time for another look into the Random household. Last update, Sauda and Donnovan continued the woohoo-fest, successfully preventing their kids from doing their homework, and officially winning bad parents of the year award. Sauda gave birth to another set of twins, Senga and Osamu, who, judging by their brief time at home, will be just as sorely mistreated.
Because I know we're all sick of watching Sauda and Donny play the "When and where can we woohoo to cause our children as much psychological damage as possible?" game, let's instead take a lot at the older set of twins.
Barbara is getting into painting, which makes sense, considering her artistic trait. She's quite a bit more advanced than Vlad was with his animal/plant combo thingy.
Vlad is having fun pretending to be a prince. He just looks too cute in the little outfit :)
Did I mention I love the Generations EP for giving my simmie kids more cute things to do?
In the nursery again? For real, guys?
Vlad rules over the kitchen table. Well, if you can call it that, as the kitchen is also a dining room, living room, and bedroom all in one. Let's just say he rules over the table.
I love Sauda so much right now for humoring Vlad instead of shooting him down or yelling that no one will be her ruler or something crazy like that. You never know with her.
Then again, Vlad is the favorite child. I don't want to know what would happen if Barbara tried this.
Oh look, it's elder Darren in the doorway. And he's for a party... this may not bode well.
Sauda rolled the wish to have a birthday party for Senga, after basically neglecting her the whole time that she has been a baby. Maybe it's her way of trying to make it up to her for all the time she spent on the floor during that woohoo session?
Given this house's track record with parties, this may not turn out so well...
Wow, it's Endora Kravitz, the mother of the unfortunate sim, Sammi Claremont, who died at the bachelorette party and now haunts the house. Endora has to be the oldest sim, ever. I have the options set to a normal life span of about 90 days, yet Endora is approximately 115!
She's also a party crasher, as I'm pretty sure she was not invited. Or maybe she's coming to visit her ghostly daughter.
Jake is back for another party. Hopefully this time he won't overstay his welcome!
Well, at least Vlad has some kids his own age here to hang out with. Though the whole ruling over the table thing may be freaking them out a bit...
I guess you're never too old to play with dolls!
It's birthday time for Senga!
Good, get into the spirit, Barbara!
Wow, what a wild party! Look at everyone just standing there. At least one townie is having fun blowing the noisemaker.
Sauda: I'm bored. Time to sleep.
Once again, failing as a hostess.
Senga is a cute toddler!
Seems like she takes after Donny quite a bit.
TOO MANY SIMS.
Sahan Diwan, Taj's son, is laughing at Barbara.
Barbara: What did I do this time??
Party giving you a headache, Darren? Me too! But at least nothing especially tragic or crazy has happened yet.
Senga doesn't seem to mind the craziness around her!
Uh oh, I think I spoke too soon about nothing tragic happening. Poor, elderly Endora seems to be expiring before our very eyes, in the same house as her daughter, also at a party...
She planned this, I swear she did! An elaborate plan to infest this house with ghosts!
The guests are suitably shocked.
Random townie: *sob*
Sauda: What, you've never had someone die at your party? This happens to me like every day. Grim and I are practically besties! Get over it already!
Reason #2837327237 why Sauda is not a normal sim.
Random townie: This is a great party!! Woo!
I don't know what standards she's going by...
Grimmy: I am back in this hovel again? I swear, I have never seen such a tasteless home before. Could people please refrain from dying here?
You know it's bad when the Grim Reaper insults your taste in decor.
Darren: Hahaha, look at Barbara!!
Barbara: WHY ME????
But wait, not everyone hates Barbara. Her and Grimmy get along!!
You know, a connection with Grimmy is not a bad thing. They'll all be sorry they laughed at her when she gets Grimmy to reap their souls a little earlier than he planned... ;)
Grimmy: Oww, you hit hard!
She's not afraid to pummel Grimmy either! Go Barbara!
Sahan: BOOO!
Oh, give it a rest, Sahan. You're just jealous of Barbara and Grimmy's special relationship.
See, look at how they make silly faces at each other. Friends for life, right here!
I guess Sahan feels bad about his rudeness (or realized that with one word from Barbara, he could be Grim's next target) so he reads her a bedtime story.
Sahan: This was a great party!
All the townies are delusional.
Mother and daughter, side by side. Well, at least they get to haunt the same house now.
Aww, how sweet, Sahan!
You know, if things with Taj had worked out those could have been Sahan's siblings... weird thought.
But wait, it's someone else's birthday too! Sahan, being the model party guest, is the only one there to celebrate.
Sauda: I'm gonna be an elder, wooo...
Sauda: ...Owww!
Sauda: My back may ache, but I'm still pretty awesome, even if I'm all wrinkly now.
At least Sauda has self-confidence.
Also, everyone join me in cheering: the formalwear monstrosity is officially gone, for good! YAAAYYY!
Their son is aging up while they talk about work. No big.
Aww, look at cute like Osamu! He may not have gotten his own party, but he's pretty adorable :)
Not sure where the hair came from, but it suits him.
I'll leave you with this picture of the cuteness that is Osamu. Always best to leave off on a toddler pic, right? :)
Now that the kids are starting to grow up, what will happen? Will everyone continue to laugh at Barbara (or will her new BFF, Grimmy, return to hang out)? All will be revealed next time, assuming it doesn't take me a year to update again :)
